Coming off of the breakout success of Alice, Suzanne and the screenwriter Linda Woolverton took their time to find the story for the sequel.
It’s a lovely, female empowerment story of this girl, and how hard it is to be out of step with the times.

Coleen Atwood won the Best Costume Design Oscar for her work on the 2010 Alice and returned to create a stunning new set of outfits. The film is a visual spectacle and was a labor of love for Sony Pictures Imageworks, the VFX studio behind the series.
